Easibirthing Hypnotherapy for Expectant Mums and birthing partners.
I’m delighted to be hosting a free 2 hour easibirthing hypnotherapy workshop at my studio in Arnold with Pamela Windle of SmarterChange who is Pamela is a qualified Hypnotherapist & Wellbeing Specialist.
I recently met with Pamela and we talked about how she helps expectant mums and their birthing partners through pregnancy with easi-birthing. She can also guide you nutritionally and is truly passionate about helping people. Pamela is lovely lady whom I immediately felt comfortable chatting to and is experienced in areas of health and wellbeing.
I myself have experience of easibirthing so I can whole heartedly recommend it. When I was pregnant with my son, I had been filled with horror stories from friends of what childbirth was like. As a first-time mum, I wanted to be able to look forward to the experience rather than fear it and therefore embarked on a course to eliminate those fears and worries which I overcame.
If you would like to attend the free workshop, or would like further information on Pamela’s availability for private sessions, please contact Pamela direct by telephone on 07971 651698 or by email at info@smarterchange.co.uk to book a place.
Workshop Details:- 21st February 2015 1.00-3.00 p.m.
Address: AliLulu Portraits, Suite 5, Brookfield Gardens, Arnold, Nottingham NG5 7ER

Pamela has kindly put together some questions and answers for expectant mums and their birthing partners about her courses to let you know what it’s all about.
What is Easibirthing?
Easibirthing is about understanding and utilising hypnosis to your best advantage during the birth and beyond. It places birth as a central role in your adjustment to becoming a parent.
When is the best time to start Easibirthing?
The best time to start Easibithing sessions is approximately around 20 weeks gestation, because this gives you time to learn and practice each technique before your first signs of labour.
Can I attend sessions alone?
Yes of course however, it would benefit you if you attended sessions with your birthing partner as they play a significant role in keeping you focused in childbirth if you need them too. Alternatively, you could listen to my MP3 recording together in the comfort of your home and practice together.
How often should I practice the techniques?
Depending on how much spare time you have during your week to rehearse techniques will make a difference to your confidence. Nevertheless, couples that practice Easibrithing techniques two or more times per week have found that they felt confident, calm and in control during childbirth and parenthood.
How many sessions do I need?
The earlier you start Easibirthing course the better. Easibirthing course is five sessions in total, and each session lasting one hour.
What should I expect from our sessions together?
During our five sessions together we will cover: anxiety management, preparation of your mental state, stage One labour, stage Two and stage Three of labour including breastfeeding and parenthood. I also guide you on subjects on optimal posture for you and baby and tips to manage your energy levels for optimal health.
Can I move around during labour using hypnosis?
Yes you can. I’ll teach you how to count yourself in and out of self-hypnosis. We practice changing positions during our birth rehearsal in session four.
Can I just turn up for our sessions and then be able to use the techniques without practicing?
No. For maximum benefit you need to practice each technique regularly.
Do I have to have my eyes closed all the time?
No you don’t, you can practice having your eyes open or closed, what every makes you feel calm, confident and in control.
Do I need to buy hypnosis recordings?
No you don’t. I provide you with recordings as part of my Easibirthing package.
